§ 12-23. Transferability.

All city licenses may be transferred with the approval of the city manager when there is a bona fide sale or transfer of the property used and employed in such business as stock in trade, but such transferred license shall not be effective for any longer time than the original license. The original license shall be surrendered and filed with the city clerk at the time application for transfer is made and a new license shall be issued and marked "Transferred License". The date of transfer and the name of the person to whom transferred and the approval of the city manager shall be endorsed thereon. The license shall have the same force and effect as the original license. The fee shall be $3.00.
